Martha Saint Martin was born in Mexico in 1995.
She studied Art History in Mexico City, for three years. She proceeded with a Seminar in Edition of Printed and Digital mediums. In the meantime, she studied contemporary dance, an activity which gave her work a particular interest in view of the body.
She has always been interested in the idea of art as a way of resistance; as a way to build relationships of empathy and affection with the other. For this reason, her work focuses mainly on the arousal of emotions like tenderness and softness which can be seen in her curvy lines and textures.
Her work makes a pause for the spectator to look into the details of the world, it's corners and subtleties.
